Innovation doesn't happen within the safe confines of comfort and peace, but out on the edge, leaning over and looking into the unknown. When you think about How to innovate, there has to be a drive to reach the edge, because it is on the edge that new discoveries are made.
"How it always has been" is not good enough- Find a way to think beyond the "traditions" and into the what ifs.
Lean into the moments that make your internal mind yell, "STOP"! If you are pushing your comfort zone, you are getting to the edge, pushing innovation, and about to make some new discoveries.
Be ready to fail. Riding the Wave of Innovation to the edge creates spaces for iteration, ideation, and smashificiation. There will be crashes, and then you get to build again.
Erwin McManus said in a recent sermon, "Every time I followed God to the edge, the people in the center didn't like where I was going." Think about what innovation means to you, and strive to develop a new plan moving forward.
